Instructional design/course development in online education, adult education, international initiatives, community building, continuing education; educational analysis and research, web accessibility, text and digital narrative, games for learning, mobile technologies.

Biography

I work as an Educational Technology Manager in the office of External Programs and Learning Technologies (EPLT) in the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia (UBC). My main work is in instructional design and faculty training in online learning. My specific focus is on online collaborative and communication strategies, student engagement, and different delivery models and culturally-responsive instruction. I have managed various projects in the area of eLearning, locally in Canada and internationally, such as ePortfolio implementation, accessibility issues, Aboriginal education, Faculty development and training, Mobile technologies, and others.

I obtained my undergraduate degree in English Language and Literacy at the University of Novi Sad, Yugoslavia (now Serbia), my Masters in Distance Education from Athabasca University, Canada and a Ph.D. degree in Language and Literacy Education at UBC, focusing on ethics in gameworlds.
